  • ๐Ÿงค 1 Oven mitt

๐Ÿ›’ THE INGREDIENTS

The Spiced Chicken

  • ๐Ÿ— Halal Chicken Thighs 1 lb (boneless, sliced into strips)

  • ๐ŸŸก Spices: 1/2 tsp each of Turmeric, Cumin, Coriander, Paprika

  • ๐Ÿง„ Aromatics: 1 tsp Ginger paste, 1 tsp Garlic paste

  • ๐Ÿบ Cooking Oil 2 tablespoons

The 1-Minute Peanut Sauce

  • ๐Ÿฅœ Peanut Butter 3 tablespoons (Smooth)

  • ๐ŸคŽ Brown Sugar 1 tablespoon

  • ๐Ÿถ Soy Sauce 1 tablespoon (Halal-certified)

  • ๐Ÿ‹ Lime Juice 1/2 lime (freshly squeezed)

  • ๐Ÿ’ง Warm Water 2 tablespoons (to thin the sauce)

๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ THE METHOD

  1. ๐Ÿฅฃ In a Small bowl, mix the Turmeric, Cumin, Coriander, Paprika, Ginger, and Garlic.

  2. ๐Ÿฅฉ Toss the Chicken Thigh strips in the spices until they are bright yellow and orange.

  3. ๐Ÿ”ฅ Put your Frying pan on the stove and turn the heat to Medium-High. Add the Oil.

  4. ๐Ÿ— Use your Oven mitt to hold the pan. Place the chicken in the hot oil.

  5. โฒ๏ธ Cook for 8 to 10 Minutes. Let them sit for a minute before flipping so they get Lightly Charred and crispy on the edges.

  6. ๐Ÿฅœ While the chicken cooks, whisk the Peanut Butter, Brown Sugar, Soy Sauce, Lime Juice, and Warm Water in a Small bowl until smooth.

  7. ๐Ÿถ Once the chicken is cooked through, pour the Peanut Sauce directly into the pan.

  8. ๐Ÿฅ„ Stir for 1 Minute just to warm the sauce through and coat the chicken.

  9. ๐Ÿ›‘ Turn the stove dial to the Off position.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ SAFETY FIRST

  • ๐Ÿ— Crowding the Pan: Don't put too much chicken in at once. If the pan is too full, the chicken will steam instead of getting that nice Barbecue Char.

  • ๐Ÿฅœ Sauce Thickness: If the sauce looks too thick or "clumpy," add one more tablespoon of Warm Water and stir quickly.

  • ๐Ÿ‹ Lime Safety: When squeezing the Lime, turn it face-down into your hand so the seeds don't fall into the pan.

  • ๐Ÿ›‘ Check the Dials: Ensure the stove is Off as soon as you finish, as peanut butter can burn quickly if left on a hot burner.
