  • ๐Ÿฅฃ 2 Medium bowls

  • ๐Ÿฅ„ 1 Large stirring spoon

  • ๐Ÿ”ช 1 Butter knife

  • ๐Ÿ›น 1 Cutting board

  • ๐Ÿงช 1 Small whisk

  • ๐Ÿฅ› 2 Tall glasses (for the tomato jelly)

  • ๐Ÿงค 1 Oven mitt (if using boiling water for gelatin)


๐Ÿ›’ THE INGREDIENTS

Choose Your Salad!

  • ๐Ÿฅ› Cottage cheese 1 small tub

  • ๐Ÿ Canned pineapple rings 1 tin (Halal certified)

  • ๐Ÿ’ Maraschino cherries 1 small jar

  • ๐Ÿฅฌ Iceberg lettuce 1 head (shredded thin)

  • ๐Ÿฅ› Mayonnaise 3 tablespoons

  • ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ Paprika 1 small pinch

  • ๐ŸŸข Frozen peas 1 cup (thawed until soft)

  • ๐Ÿฅ“ Halal Beef bacon bits 1 tablespoon

  • ๐Ÿ“ Strawberry Jell-O 1 packet (Halal certified/Beef gelatin)

  • ๐Ÿ… Tomato juice 2 cups

  • ๐Ÿ‹ Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

  • ๐Ÿงช Plain gelatin 1 packet (Halal/Beef source)


๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ THE METHOD

Option A: The Pineapple Star ๐Ÿ

  1. ๐Ÿฅฌ Lay a large leaf of Iceberg lettuce on a Small plate.

  2. ๐Ÿ Place one Canned pineapple ring right in the middle.

  3. ๐Ÿฅ„ Scoop a big mountain of Cottage cheese into the center of the ring.

  4. ๐Ÿ’ Top it with one Maraschino cherry and a tiny dust of Paprika.

Option B: The "Lunch Tray" Shredded Salad ๐Ÿฅ—

  1. ๐Ÿ”ช Use your Knife to chop the Iceberg lettuce into very thin ribbons.

  2. ๐Ÿฅฃ Put the lettuce into a Medium bowl.

  3. ๐Ÿฅ„ Plop the Mayonnaise on top. Do not stir it in yet!

  4. ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ Sprinkle Paprika over the mayo so it looks like a pretty red garnish.

Option C: Crunchy Pea & Bacon Salad ๐ŸŸข

  1. ๐Ÿฅฃ Put the thawed Frozen peas into a Medium bowl.

  2. ๐Ÿฅ„ Add 2 spoons of Mayonnaise (or Miracle Whip) and the Halal Beef bacon bits.

  3. ๐Ÿฅ„ Stir gently until every pea is white and creamy. (Add a cube of Cheddar cheese if you want more protein!)

Option D: The Pink Cottage Cheese Cup ๐Ÿ“

  1. ๐Ÿฅฃ Make the Strawberry Jell-O with hot water. ๐Ÿงค Use your Oven mitt when pouring the hot water!

  2. โณ Put it in the fridge for 30 Minutes until it is jiggly but not hard.

  3. ๐Ÿฅ„ Stir in 1 cup of Cottage cheese until the whole bowl looks soft and pink.

  4. ๐ŸงŠ Put it back in the fridge for 1 Hour until it stays in a shape.

Option E: Savory Tomato Jelly ๐Ÿ…

  1. ๐Ÿงช Whisk the Plain gelatin into 1/2 cup of cold Tomato juice.

  2. ๐Ÿ”ฅ Heat up the rest of the Tomato juice on the stove until it bubbles.

  3. ๐Ÿฅ„ Stir the hot juice and cold juice together with Lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce.

  4. ๐Ÿฅ› Pour into Tall glasses and hide them in the fridge until they turn into savory jelly.


๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ SAFETY FIRST

  • ๐Ÿงค Boiling Water: When making Jell-O, the water is very hot. Ask a "kitchen helper" to pour the water while you hold the bowl steady with an Oven mitt.

  • ๐Ÿ Sharp Tin Cans: The lid of the pineapple tin is very sharp. Use a Spoon to lift the rings out so you don't cut your fingers.

  • ๐ŸงŠ Slippery Lettuce: Shredded lettuce can slide off the plate. Use a plate with a high rim to keep your salad from falling on the floor.
