๐Ÿ›’ THE INGREDIENTS

The Oat Base

  • ๐Ÿฅฃ Regular Oats 100g

  • ๐ŸŒพ Whole Oats (Oat Groats) 100g

  • ๐Ÿ’ง Warm Water 400ml (for soaking)

  • ๐Ÿฅš Eggs 2 large

  • ๐Ÿง‚ Salt 1 pinch

  • โšช Baking powder 1 tablespoon

The Fruit & Sweetener

  • ๐ŸŽ Apples 2 medium (chopped)

  • ๐ŸŒ Banana 1 ripe (chopped)

  • ๐Ÿ‡ Raisins 80g

  • ๐Ÿฏ Sweetener 1 tablespoon (Honey or Maple syrup)

  • ๐Ÿšฐ Extra Water 50ml

  • ๐Ÿงˆ Butter 1 small knob (for the dish)


๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ THE METHOD

1. The Soak & Prep (0โ€“15 Mins)

  1. ๐Ÿฅฃ Soften: In the Mixing bowl, combine Regular Oats and Whole Oats. Pour the Warm Water over them and let sit for 10 Minutes.

  2. ๐Ÿ”ฅ Preheat: Set your oven to 180ยฐC.

  3. ๐Ÿงˆ Grease: Use the Paper towel to rub Butter all over the inside of the Baking dish.

2. The Batter (15โ€“20 Mins)

  1. ๐Ÿฅš Bind: Add the Eggs, Salt, and Baking powder to the soaked oats. Stir until the eggs are fully incorporated.

  2. ๐Ÿ”ช Chop: Dice the Apples and Banana into small, even pieces.

  3. ๐Ÿ”„ Fold: Stir the Apples, Banana, Raisins, Sweetener, and Extra Water into the oat mixture. Mix until the fruit is evenly spread.

3. The Bake (20โ€“70 Mins)

  1. ๐Ÿฅ˜ Fill: Pour the mixture into the greased Baking dish.

  2. โฒ๏ธ Bake: Place in the center of the oven for 50 Minutes.

  3. ๐Ÿงค Check: Use Oven mitts to remove the dish when the top is firm and golden brown. ๐Ÿ›‘ Turn the oven Off.

  4. โ„๏ธ Rest: Let the bake cool completely on the counter before slicing; this helps the whole grains set so it doesn't crumble.

  • ๐Ÿ”ฅ Oven Heat: When opening the oven, stand back for a second to let the initial burst of heat escape before reaching in. Always use Two oven mitts.

  • ๐Ÿ”ช Stable Cutting: Slice your fruit on a flat cutting board, not in your hand. Keep your "holding" fingers tucked in like a claw.
