๐ฅ 1 Small pot (to boil water)
๐ฅฃ 1 Large glass pitcher or bottle
๐ฅ 1 Large stirring spoon
๐ง 1 Fine grater (for the ginger)
๐ 1 Hand juicer
๐ THE INGREDIENTS
๐ง Filtered Water 4 cups
๐ง Sea Salt 1/4 teaspoon (provides essential Sodium)
๐ฅฅ Coconut Water 1 cup (Halal-compliant source of Potassium)
๐ฏ Raw Honey or Maple Syrup 1 tablespoon (Natural glucose for energy absorption)
๐ Fresh Ginger 1 small knob (peeled and grated)
๐ Fresh Lime Juice 2 tablespoons (roughly 1 large lime)
๐จโ๐ณ THE METHOD
๐ฅ Put 1 cup of the Filtered Water into your Small pot and turn the stove to Medium.
๐ Add the grated Fresh Ginger to the warm water and let it simmer for 5 Minutes to make a strong tea.
๐ฅฃ Pour the Ginger tea through a small sieve into your Large glass pitcher.
๐ง Add the Sea Salt, Raw Honey, and Lime Juice to the warm tea.
๐ฅ Use your Large stirring spoon to stir until the salt and honey have completely melted.
๐ฅฅ Pour in the Coconut Water and the rest of the cold Filtered Water.
๐ Stir everything together one last time.
โ๏ธ Put the pitcher in the fridge to stay cold for when you feel a migraine starting.
๐ Check that the stove dial is in the Off position.
๐ก๏ธ SAFETY FIRST
๐ฅ Hot Liquid: Be very careful when pouring the hot ginger tea into the pitcher. Use an Oven mitt to hold the pot handle.
๐ช Grating Ginger: The grater is very sharp. Keep your fingers flat and move slowly as the ginger knob gets smaller.
๐ Acid Sensitivity: If your stomach is very upset, start by taking tiny sips (1 tablespoon at a time) rather than drinking a whole glass at once.
