๐Ÿ›’ THE INGREDIENTS

The Creamy Curry Base

  • ๐Ÿฅฅ Coconut Milk 1 can (13.5 oz; Halal-certified)

  • ๐Ÿ— Chicken Stock 1 cup (Low-sodium; Halal-certified)

  • ๐Ÿถ Halal Soy Sauce 2 tablespoons (Halal substitute for fish sauce)

  • ๐Ÿง„ Garlic Paste 1 tablespoon

  • ๐Ÿ  Ginger Paste 1 tablespoon

  • ๐Ÿฏ Honey or Maple Syrup 1/4 cup (Alkaline-friendly sweetener)

The Spice Blend

  • ๐ŸŸก Curry Powder 2 tablespoons (or 1/2 jar of mild curry paste)

  • ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ Chili Oil or Chutney 2 tablespoons (Adjust for heat)

  • ๐Ÿง‚ Salt & Black Pepper 1 small pinch each

The Main Components

  • ๐Ÿ— Halal Chicken Drumsticks & Thighs 2 lbs (approx. 6โ€“8 pieces)

  • ๐Ÿฅ” Potatoes 3 medium (peeled and cut into small cubes)

  • ๐Ÿฅ• Carrots 3 large (peeled and cut into thick rounds)

  • ๐Ÿš White Rice 3 cups (cooked and ready for serving)


๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ THE METHOD

  1. ๐Ÿ”ฅ Preheat your oven to 180ยฐC (356ยฐF).

  2. ๐Ÿฅ˜ Inside your Large baking tray, pour the Coconut Milk, Chicken Stock, Soy Sauce, Garlic Paste, and Ginger Paste.

  3. ๐ŸŸก Add the Curry Powder, Chili Oil, Sweetener, Salt, and Black Pepper. Use your Large spoon to stir until the sauce is a smooth yellow color.

  4. ๐Ÿฅ” Add the chopped Potatoes and Carrots into the tray.

  5. ๐Ÿ— Place the Halal Chicken pieces into the tray. Use your hands or the spoon to move them around until every piece is Coated in the yellow sauce.

  6. โฒ๏ธ Use your Oven mitt to put the tray in the oven. Bake for 60 to 75 Minutes.

    • Note: Halfway through, you can use the spoon to pour some of the hot sauce over the top of the chicken.

  7. ๐Ÿด Check the vegetables with a fork; they should be Tender and soft. The chicken should pull away from the bone easily.

  8. ๐Ÿš Scoop the White Rice into bowls.

  9. ๐Ÿฅ„ Use your Large spoon to pour the Curry Sauce and vegetables over the rice, then place the chicken on top.

  10. ๐Ÿ›‘ Turn the oven dial to the Off position.


๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ SAFETY FIRST

  • ๐Ÿ— Internal Temperature: Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken reaches 74ยฐC (165ยฐF). This is very important for safety!

  • ๐Ÿงค Heavy Tray: A tray full of liquid is very heavy and can splash. Always use two Oven mitts and pull the oven rack out halfway before lifting the tray.

  • ๐Ÿฆท Bone Safety: For toddlers, remove the meat from the Drumsticks and check for small bones before putting it on their plate.

  • ๐Ÿฅ• Round Cuts: To prevent choking, cut the Carrots into "half-moons" or quarters instead of full circles.
