  • ๐Ÿงค 1 Oven mitt


๐Ÿ›’ THE INGREDIENTS

Choose Your Breakfast!

  • ๐Ÿฅš Egg 1 large (the "Magic Ingredient")

  • ๐ŸŒพ All-purpose flour 1 cup

  • ๐Ÿฅ› Milk or Water 3/4 cup

  • ๐Ÿ‡ Raisins 1 small handful

  • ๐ŸŒฝ Canned corn 1 small can (drained)

  • ๐Ÿฅ„ Baking powder 1 teaspoon

  • ๐Ÿž White bread 2 slices

  • ๐Ÿงˆ Margarine 1 tablespoon

  • ๐ŸคŽ Cinnamon & Powdered sugar 1 pinch each

  • ๐Ÿฏ Maple syrup (optional for the top)


๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ THE METHOD

Option A: The "One-Egg" Raisin Pancakes ๐Ÿ‡

  1. ๐Ÿฅฃ Mix: In a Medium bowl, whisk 1 Egg and Milk. Stir in the Flour and a pinch of Salt until it looks like thick cream.

  2. ๐Ÿ‡ Fold: Drop in the Raisins and stir gently.

  3. ๐Ÿ”ฅ Put the Frying pan on Medium heat with a little oil or butter.

  4. ๐Ÿณ Pour a small circle of batter into the pan. Wait for tiny bubbles to appear on top (about 2 Minutes).

  5. ๐Ÿ”„ Flip the pancake and cook for 1 Minute more until it is golden.

Option B: Quick Golden Corn Fritters ๐ŸŒฝ

  1. ๐Ÿฅฃ Mix: In a Medium bowl, stir together the drained Canned corn, 1 Egg, 1/2 cup Flour, Baking powder, and a splash of Milk.

  2. ๐Ÿณ Put the Frying pan on Medium heat with 2 tablespoons of oil.

  3. ๐Ÿฅ„ Scoop a big spoonful of the corn mix into the hot oil. Flatten it slightly with your spoon.

  4. โณ Fry for 3 Minutes on each side until they are very crunchy. These are great with salt or syrup!

Option C: 60-Second Cinnamon Toast ๐Ÿž

  1. ๐Ÿž Lay 2 slices of White bread on a microwave-safe plate.

  2. ๐Ÿงˆ Spread a thick layer of Margarine on top of each slice.

  3. ๐ŸคŽ Sprinkle the Cinnamon and Powdered sugar over the margarine.

  4. โณ Microwave for 30 to 45 Seconds.

  5. ๐Ÿงค Use your Oven mitt to take the plate out. The margarine and sugar melt together into a sweet, gooey frosting!


๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ SAFETY FIRST

  • ๐Ÿ”ฅ Hot Oil: When making Corn Fritters, the oil can "spit" if the corn is too wet. Make sure to drain the corn very well before mixing.

  • ๐Ÿงค Microwave Plate: The plate can get surprisingly hot when melting margarine. Always use your Oven mitt to move the plate to the table.

  • ๐Ÿ”„ The Flip: When flipping pancakes, flip away from your body so any tiny drops of hot batter don't land on your arms.
