๐Ÿ›’ THE INGREDIENTS

The Meat & Marinade

๐Ÿฅฉ Halal Lamb Chops 4 to 6 pieces

๐Ÿฆ Yogurt 1/2 cup (Plain and unsweetened)

๐Ÿง„ Garlic-Ginger Paste 1 tablespoon

๐Ÿถ Light Soy Sauce 1 tablespoon (Halal-certified)

๐Ÿ‹ Lemon Juice 1 tablespoon

๐Ÿบ Cooking Oil 1 tablespoon

๐Ÿง‚ Salt 1 small pinch

๐ŸŸก Turmeric & Garam Masala 1/2 teaspoon each

๐ŸŒถ๏ธ Chili & Cumin Powder 1/2 teaspoon each

๐Ÿง„ Garlic Powder 1/2 teaspoon

The Potatoes & Greens

๐Ÿฅ” Potatoes 4 large (peeled and cut into cubes)

๐Ÿงˆ Butter 2 tablespoons (Halal-certified)

๐Ÿฅ› Cream or Milk 1/4 cup

๐Ÿง‚ Salt & Pepper 1 small pinch each

๐Ÿฅฌ Green Vegetables 2 cups (like Spinach or Bok Choy)

The Sauce (Chimichurri)

๐ŸŒฟ Parsley & Cilantro 1/2 cup (chopped very small)

๐Ÿง„ Garlic 2 cloves (minced)

๐Ÿบ Olive Oil 3 tablespoons

๐ŸŒถ๏ธ Chili Paste or Oil 1 teaspoon


๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ THE METHOD

  1. ๐Ÿฅฃ Put the Yogurt, Garlic-Ginger Paste, Soy Sauce, Lemon Juice, Oil, and all Spices into a Large bowl.

  2. ๐Ÿฅฉ Put the Halal Lamb Chops into the bowl and stir until the meat is fully covered in the sauce.

  3. โ„๏ธ Cover the bowl and put it in the fridge to rest Overnight (or for at least 4 hours).

  4. ๐Ÿฅ˜ Put the Potatoes in a Large pot with water and boil on the stove for 15 Minutes until soft.

  5. ๐Ÿฅ„ Drain the water. Use the Potato masher to squish the potatoes with the Butter, Cream, Salt, and Garlic Powder until smooth.

  6. ๐Ÿ”ฅ Put your Frying pan on the stove and turn the heat to High.

  7. ๐Ÿฅฉ Use your Oven mitt to hold the pan and place the Halal Lamb Chops inside.

  8. โฒ๏ธ Cook the meat for 3 Minutes on the first side until it looks dark and charred.

  9. ๐Ÿงค Flip the meat over and cook the other side for 3 Minutes. The inside should stay slightly pink.

  10. ๐Ÿฅฃ While the meat cooks, mix the Parsley, Cilantro, Garlic, Chili Paste, and Olive Oil in a Small bowl to make the sauce.

  11. ๐Ÿฅฌ Remove the meat from the pan. Put the Green Vegetables, Garlic, and a little Butter into the same hot pan.

  12. ๐Ÿฅ„ Stir the greens for 2 Minutes until they look soft and wilted.

  13. ๐Ÿ›‘ Turn the stove dial to the Off position.


๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ SAFETY FIRST

  • ๐Ÿฅฉ Sizzling Oil: When you put the marinated meat into the hot pan, it will pop and sizzle. Stand back and use long tongs or a long spoon to move the meat.

  • ๐Ÿงค Hot Pan Handle: The pan will get very hot quickly. Always wear an Oven mitt when touching the handle to prevent burns.

  • ๐Ÿ”ช Slippery Greens: When chopping the herbs for the sauce, keep your fingers tucked away from the Knife blade. Use a slow, rocking motion.
