๐ฅญ MANGO CHIA JAM ๐ฏ
๐ฑ OVERVIEW

๐ ๏ธ THE KIT
๐ณ 1 Small pot ๐ฅ 1 Large stirring spoon ๐ด 1 Fork (for mashing)
๐ซ 1 Glass jar with a lid * ๐งค 1 Oven mitt ---
๐ THE INGREDIENTS
๐ฅญ Ripe mango chunks 2 cups (fresh or frozen)
๐ฏ Honey or Maple syrup 2 tablespoons (sweetener)
๐ Lemon juice 1 tablespoon
๐ง Salt 1 small pinch
๐ Chia seeds 2 tablespoons
๐จโ๐ณ THE METHOD
๐ฅญ Put the Ripe mango chunks into your Small pot.
๐ฅ Place the pot on the stove and turn the heat to Medium.
๐ฅ Stir the Ripe mango chunks for 5 Minutes until they get very soft and wet.
๐ด Use your Fork to squash and mash the Ripe mango chunks inside the pot until they look like a thick soup.
๐ Pour the Lemon juice, Honey or Maple syrup, and the Salt into the mashed fruit.
๐ Sprinkle the Chia seeds into the pot and stir them in well.
โณ Turn the heat down to Low and let it cook gently for 5 Minutes until the juice looks thick and shiny.
๐ Turn the stove dial to the Off position.
๐งค Use your Oven mitt to carefully move the pot to a cool spot on the counter.
๐ซ Let the jam sit for 10 Minutes to get thicker before putting it into your Glass jar.
๐ก๏ธ SAFETY FIRST
๐จ Hot Steam: When the fruit boils, it can release very hot steam. Keep your face away from the top of the pot.
๐งค The Handle: The metal handle of the pot will get very hot. Use your Oven mitt every time you touch it.
๐ฏ Sticky Spills: Sugary jam is very hot and sticky. If any drips on your skin, wash it off immediately with cold water.
