๐Ÿณ THE SMOKY GOAT CHEESE & BACON FRITATA ๐Ÿฅ“

๐Ÿ“ฑ OVERVIEW

  • Total Time: 20 Minutes

  • Servings: 4 People

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ THE KIT

  • ๐Ÿณ 1 Oven-safe non-stick frying pan (Crucial for the grill step!)

  • ๐Ÿฅฃ 1 Large mixing bowl

  • ๐Ÿด 1 Whisk or fork

  • ๐Ÿฅ„ 1 Rubber spatula or large spoon

  • ๐Ÿ”ช 1 Knife & Cutting board

  • ๐Ÿงค 1 Oven mitt

๐Ÿ›’ THE INGREDIENTS

  • ๐Ÿฅ“ Halal Beef bacon 6 strips (sliced into bite-sized pieces)

  • ๐Ÿซ‘ Red bell pepper 1 large (chopped small)

  • ๐ŸŒฑ Spring onions 3 stalks (sliced)

  • ๐Ÿฅš Eggs 7 to 8 large

  • ๐Ÿง€ Parmesan cheese 1/4 cup (grated)

  • ๐Ÿง€ Goat cheese 100 grams (cut into small chunks)

  • ๐ŸŸข Frozen peas 1/2 cup (thawed)

  • ๐ŸŒฟ Fresh basil 1 small handful (roughly chopped)

  • ๐Ÿง‚ Salt & Black pepper 1 pinch each

๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ THE METHOD

  1. ๐Ÿฅฃ Season the Eggs: In your Large mixing bowl, whisk the Eggs, Parmesan, Salt, and Black pepper. This creates a savory, "cake-like" base for your fritata.

  2. ๐Ÿ”ฅ Crisp the Bacon: Put the Oven-safe frying pan on High heat. Add the Beef bacon. Stir for 4 Minutes until it is crunchy and the fat has melted into the pan.

  3. ๐Ÿซ‘ Sautรฉ the Peppers: Add the Red bell pepper to the bacon fat. Stir for 3 Minutes until they soften.

  4. ๐ŸŒฑ Add Onions: Toss in the Spring onions and cook for 1 Minute more.

  5. ๐ŸŒฟ The Fresh Bits: Add the Peas and Fresh basil to the pan. Stir once to mix the colors.

  6. ๐Ÿฅš The Pour: Pour the Egg mixture over the vegetables. Use your Spatula to lightly move the eggs around so the liquid reaches the bottom of the pan.

  7. ๐Ÿง€ Goat Cheese Pockets: Push half of the Goat cheese chunks into the liquid egg so they hide inside. Sprinkle the rest on top.

  8. ๐Ÿณ The Stove Finish: Let it cook on the stove for 2 Minutes until the edges look solid.

  9. ๐Ÿ”ฅ The Grill: Use your Oven mitt to move the pan under the oven grill (broiler). Cook for 4 to 5 Minutes until the top is golden and the center is soft but not runny.

  10. ๐Ÿ›‘ The Flip: Let it cool for a minute. Run a Knife around the edge, place a Cutting board over the pan, and flip it upside down!

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ SAFETY FIRST

  • ๐Ÿณ Oven-Safe Check: Double-check that your pan handle is not made of plastic! If it is, it will melt under the grill. Use a metal or cast-iron pan.

  • ๐Ÿงค The "Hidden" Hot Handle: After you take the pan out of the oven, the handle will stay hot for a long time. Keep your Oven mitt over the handle so you don't accidentally grab it with your bare hand!

  • ๐Ÿฅ“ High Heat Splatter: Bacon fat can pop when it gets very hot. Stand back slightly when you first put the bacon in the pan.
