π THE INGREDIENTS
The Crispy Wings
π Halal Chicken wings 12 pieces (approx. 500g)
πΎ All-purpose flour 2 tablespoons (for the crunch)
πΆοΈ Spice Mix 1 tablespoon (Paprika, Garlic powder, or Onion salt)
π§ Salt & Black pepper 1 large pinch
π« Olive oil spray (or 1 tsp oil)
The Zesty Dressing
π Lemon juice 1 tablespoon
π― Maple syrup or Honey 1 teaspoon
π₯£ Mustard 1 teaspoon
π§ Salt & Pepper 1 tiny pinch
The Fresh Salad
π₯¬ Little Gem lettuce 2 heads (chopped)
π§ Red onion 1/4 (sliced paper-thin)
π Radishes 3 (sliced)
π Tomato 1 large (chopped)
π¨βπ³ THE METHOD
1. The "Shake & Bake" Wings
π₯£ Coat: In your Large mixing bowl, toss the Wings with the Flour, Spice mix, Salt, and Pepper. Make sure every wing looks "dusty."
π« Oil: Spray them lightly with Olive oil (this helps the flour turn into a crispy crust).
π¬οΈ Air Fry: Place the wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
π‘οΈ Settings: Cook at 190Β°C (380Β°F) for 15 Minutes.
Pro-Tip: Give the basket a good shake halfway through (at the 7-minute mark) to ensure even browning!
2. The "While-You-Wait" Salad
πͺ Prep: While the wings are sizzling, chop your Lettuce, Onion, Radish, and Tomato. Toss them into the Salad bowl.
π― Whisk: In your Small jar, mix the Lemon juice, Syrup, Mustard, and Salt.
π₯ Dress: Pour the dressing over the greens and toss just before the wings are done.
3. The Finish
π§€ Use your Oven mitt or Tongs to remove the wings. They should be golden-brown and "shatter-crisp."
π½οΈ Serve them hot next to the cold, crunchy salad.
π‘οΈ SAFETY FIRST
π¬οΈ Steam Release: When you open the air fryer drawer, a big puff of hot steam comes out. Keep your face back so it doesn't fog your glasses or burn your skin!
π Raw Chicken Path: Once the wings are in the air fryer, immediately wash your Large mixing bowl and your hands with hot soapy water before touching the salad vegetables.
π§€ The Basket Base: The bottom of the air fryer basket is extremely hot. Never set it directly on your countertopβuse a wooden board or a heat-proof mat.
