  • ๐Ÿฅ˜ 1 Baking sheet or oven-safe dish

  • ๐Ÿ›ธ Aluminum Foil (to lock in the steam)

  • ๐Ÿงค 1 Oven mitt

  • ๐Ÿฅ„ 1 Large spoon


๐Ÿ›’ THE INGREDIENTS

  • ๐Ÿฅฆ Fresh Broccoli 1 large head (cut into bite-sized florets)

  • ๐Ÿบ Olive Oil 1 tablespoon (Halal-friendly healthy fat)

  • ๐Ÿ’ง Water 2 tablespoons (to create the steam)

  • ๐Ÿง„ Garlic Powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • ๐Ÿง‚ Sea Salt 1 small pinch

  • ๐Ÿ‹ Lemon Juice 1 teaspoon (to keep it alkaline)


๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ THE METHOD

  1. ๐Ÿ”ฅ Preheat your oven to 200ยฐC (400ยฐF).

  2. ๐Ÿฅฆ Use your Knife and Cutting board to chop the Broccoli into small pieces. Keep the stems short so they cook as fast as the tops.

  3. ๐Ÿฅ˜ Place the Broccoli on your Baking sheet.

  4. ๐Ÿบ Drizzle the Olive Oil, Garlic Powder, and Sea Salt over the greens.

  5. ๐Ÿฅ„ Use your Large spoon to toss the broccoli until every piece is shiny with oil.

  6. ๐Ÿ’ง Pour the 2 tablespoons of Water onto the bottom of the pan.

  7. ๐Ÿ›ธ Cover the entire pan with Aluminum Foil. Press the edges down tight so no air can get out.

  8. โฒ๏ธ Use your Oven mitt to put the pan in the oven. Bake for 10 to 12 Minutes.

  9. ๐Ÿงค Carefully remove the pan. Lift one corner of the Foil away from your face to let the steam escape.

  10. ๐Ÿ‹ Squeeze the Lemon Juice over the top.

  11. ๐Ÿฅฉ Add the hot broccoli directly into your Mongolian Beef pan or serve it on the side with your Warm Rice.

  12. ๐Ÿ›‘ Turn the oven dial to the Off position.


๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ SAFETY FIRST

  • ๐Ÿ’จ Steam Burn: This is the biggest risk! When you peel back the Aluminum Foil, a cloud of very hot steam will rush out. Always use an Oven mitt and pull the foil away from your body.

  • ๐Ÿ”ช Stem Safety: Broccoli stems are round and can roll. Cut the head in half first so you can lay it flat on the Cutting board before chopping the florets.

  • ๐Ÿฆท The "Fork-Tender" Test: For a toddler or senior, press a fork into the thickest part of the stem. If it doesn't go in like butter, put the foil back on and bake for 3 more minutes.
